A 4x5 glass plate negative. A distant port bow view, taken from the head of the berth very fine off the bow, of the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) afloat in the River Clyde but still moving astern after her launch from the building berth in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The cargo liner Clan Macindoe (1959) is under construction on the adjoining berth to the left. The motor tugs Flying Duck (1956) and Flying Drake (1957) and heading towards the ship to tow her into the fitting out basin. Shipyard workers are watching the launch from the sides of the now vacant berth.
