Yarmouth (1959) in the fitting out basin.
A 2¼ square roll film negative. The after part of the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) from high on a crane alongside the east side of the fitting out basin of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The photographer is looking down, to port and slightly aft showing the starboard side of the ship from station 23 aft. A pontoon is alongside at about station 35. Everything forward of station 23 is out of the picture. The dock engineers shop is on the right with the plumbers shop behind it. A new 60 ton Arrol crane is being erected by the side of a berth in which the bottom plates of the tanker Kent (1960), yard number 708, have been laid. The stern of the well advanced tanker British Queen (1959), yard number 704, is on the far berth.
