Yarmouth (1959) in the fitting out basin.
A 2¼ square roll film negative. Looking down on a port bow view of the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) from high on a crane alongside the passenger/cargo liner Transvaal Castle (1961) building berth in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The photographer is looking over the stern of the Transvaal Castle (1961) showing the Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin. The frigate is almost structurally complete but is without her radar and radio antennae, boats, signal lights, torpedo tubes and oerlikons. The extreme stern of the tanker British Queen (1959) can be seen in the fitting out basin. Dalmuir is in the distance.
