A port bow view of the Anchor Line cruise ship Caledonia (1925) alongside a quay in an unknown port.

A port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Anchor Line cruise ship Caledonia (1925) alongside a berth at an unknown port. She is dressed overall and is flying a ciourtesy flag, possibly Japanese, from the foremast peak. Her accommodation ladder is rigged alongside the forward shell door. The photograph was taken from on board a smaller vessel moored ahead and at 90 degrees to the Caledonia. A lighter is alongside the vessel that the photographer is standing on.
Caledonia began seasonal cruises from 1930 to September 1939 when she was converted to an Armed Merchant Cruiser and renamed HMS Scotstoun
