A port bow view of the Anchor line cruise ship Caledonia (1925) berthed alongside a quay in an unknown port. She is berthed starboard side the quay and her port anchor is deployed. Her starboard anchor is not fully housed in its hawse. She is flying the US national flag at her foremast head and her name pendant reading 'Caledonia' from the starboard foremast yard arm. Her accommodation ladder is rigged alongside the midships shell doors. Three small boats are alongside her hull. The location may be the Philippines. Negative number P83458 was taken on the same occasion. A vertical format negative with a small piece missing from the bottom left corner.
The Caledonia began seasonal cruises from 1930 to September 1939 when she was converted to an Armed Merchant Cruiser and renamed HMS Scotstoun
