A port bow view of the Anchor Line cruise ship Caledonia (1925) in an unknown port.
A port bow view of the Anchor Line cruise ship Caledonia (1925) with her port anchor deployed in an unknown port. She has the 'anchor ball' daymark suspended from her forestay but appears to be just under way manoeuvring astern. She is flying a four flag hoist which is probably her code letters KTGD. Her aft port side lifeboat is swung out on its falls. The location may be the Philippines and negative number P83457 was taken on the same occasion. A vertical format negative.
The Caledonia began seasonal cruises from 1930 to September 1939 when she was converted to an Armed Merchant Cruiser and renamed HMS Scotstoun
