A 2¼ square roll film negative. A deck view of the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The photographer is on a crane on the quayside close alongside the aft torpedo tubes looking to starboard and slightly forward showing the aft superstructure and mainmast support. The ship's honours board and name board are fixed to the side of the superstructure. Seamen are standing in the open doorways which lead to the crew accommodation on 2 deck. The port torpedo and ammunition loading davit and the aftermost fixed torpedo tube on 1 deck are in the foreground.
