The photographer is looking aft and slightly down from the centreline on top of the 4.5 inch gun turret showing the replenishment at sea tripod in its stowed position, the bridge front, Mark 6M director and the Type 277Q radar aerial. Attached to the top of the bridge front is the ship's crest and covered liferafts are on either side of the central bridge. The tanker Derby (1960) is in the fitting out basin on the right.
