The photographer is looking forward and slightly to port from the starboard side aft on the quarterdeck. In the right foreground is the bathythermograph and sounding winch, in the centre is the unifoxer winch and there are two cable reels, two liferafts and another unifoxer winch, all with canvas covers. In the well between the two 1 deck wings are the two Limbo Mark 10 mortars. The aft superstructure with a single 40 mm bofors gun mounted on it, the mainmast and the foremast are in the background.
