A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the transmitting station on the starboard side of 2 deck between 26½ and 28½ stations. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard showing the Type 277 radar console comprising the T.C.U. Mk 5 Mod 1 on the right, the R.C.U. Mk 5 Mod 1 in the centre and a Mk 5 Mod 0 unit on the left. The right hand unit gives the coarse bearing, the centre unit gives the coarse and fine ranges and the left unit gives the coarse elevation. On the starboard side of the ship is a generator (strobe) and signal unit with a star shell control panel Mk 1 above it and a radar visual display unit at the top.
