A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the bridge wireless office on the starboard side of 2 deck between 32¾ and 35 stations. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard. The furthest bay contains a typewriter (hidden from view) and the next two bays have identical teletypewriters. In the centre of the group is the bay of the rating in charge and it is fitted with four telephones, a switchboard, a microphone, two voicepipes and a morse key. The next bay is for the book coder, bay 7 is the broadcast bay and bay 8 is the MF/DF (FM12) bay. No chairs are yet supplied.
