Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion.

A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the wardroom on the starboard side of 2 deck between 35 and 41 stations. The photographer is looking aft and slightly to starboard from near the port forward corner. On the left is a drinks unit with a double cupboard at deck level and a glass fronted upper cupboard which contains spirits on optics. In the starboard aft corner above the curved settee is a framed photograph of the cruiser Yarmouth (1911), two books titled 'The rise of Great Yarmouth' and a silver salver presented to the ship by the Mayor of Great Yarmouth, Councillor E W Applegate, on the occasion of the ship's commissioning on Thursday 24 March 1960. Above the fireplace is a print of HM Queen Elizabeth II by Pietro Annigoni, 1955. In the port aft corner above the curved settee is another framed photograph of the cruiser Yarmouth (1911) and a book with H.M.S. Yarmouth printed on the cover.
