A half plate glass negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the machine engineer and ordnance workshop on the starboard side of 2 deck between 46¼ and 49 stations. The photographer is looking to port and on the left is an universal machine tool. Against the forward bulkhead is a workbench equipped with three different sizes of vice, the centre one being a Fortis No. 12 and the far one being a No. 37 Perfect Vise Model J. Beyond is another cupboard with a key cabinet above it. To the right of the door is an emergency lamp and to the left is a cupboard with a worktop.
