A slightly distant port side view of the Anchor Line cruise ship California (1923) under way on the Saguenay River, Quebec, Canada
A middle distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Anchor Line cruise ship California (1923) under way in the Saguenay River, Quebec, Canada. The ship is sounding her siren and many of the passengers are lining the rails. The Saguenay is a tributary of the Saint Lawrence river and is navigable below Saguenay, where it is broad and deep and often described as a fjord. The steep, heavily-wooded sides of the river are in the background.
