A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the engine room on 4 deck between 49 and 57 stations. The photographer is on the main platform to port of and abaft the main control position looking aft and to starboard at the port turbine. Three gauges made by Sydney Smith & Sons indicate the 'Mn turbine control valve eng. side', the 'main turbine wheelcase' and the 'main turbine receiver belt'. A workbench with vice is in the foreground and the ladder leading up the 2 deck between 56 and 57 stations is on the aft bulkhead.
