A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the 4.5 inch shell magazine on 4 deck between 19 and 23 stations. The photographer is looking to port from the starboard side at the aft end of the magazine. On the left are two bays of shelves for the stowage of spares and two bays of shelves for the stowage of 4.5 inch shells. On the right are another two bays of shelves for 4.5 inch shell stowage with the shell hoist between them. On the port side of the ship are shelves for the storage of boxes of 2 inch mortar bombs and boxes of 0.303 inch bren and machine gun cartridges.
