Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion.
A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the 4.5 inch cartridge magazine on 4 deck between 23 and 27 stations. The photographer is looking forward and to port from the starboard side aft. To the left of centre are the steel and rope ladders leading up to the seamen's mess on 3 deck. A stool is between the two ladders. The magazine has racks for the stowage of a total of 963 4.5 inch cartridges. A fresh water tank and tap is next to the contents board which is fixed over a portable steel stool on the end of a rack.
