A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the 4.5 inch cartridge magazine on 4 deck between 23 and 27 stations. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard from the port side forward. In the centre is the cartridge hoist and on the right is the rope ladder leading up to the seamen's mess on 3 deck. The magazine has racks for the stowage of a total of 963 4.5 inch cartridges.
