Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion.
A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the cooling machinery compartment on the starboard side of 4 deck between 33 and 35½ stations. The photographer is looking to starboard and slightly aft from the doorway showing the evaporator and spare Freon gas cylinders against the ship's side. On the left is food machinery unit 1. On the right are air conditioning machines 2 and 3 with a three drawer cupboard unit between them and two condensers at high level. The installation is by J & E Hall Ltd of Dartford.
