Hardy (1953). Inside the main communications office.

A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Blackwood class type 14 frigate Hardy (1953) at Gibraltar. In the main communications office between stations 22½ and 27½ on the port side of 1 deck. The photographer is looking to port from the forward end of the compartment at head height showing four Power Equipment Company Powquip teleprinters. Spare printer rolls are stored underneath the middle (number 3) teleprinter and a safe is under unit number 4. Alongside teleprinter number 1 on the upper shelf are a number of files and manuals, including BR222 'The user's guide to wireless equipment' and 'The manual of joint warfare volume II, joint tactical communications'.
