A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. In the stabiliser compartment on 4 deck between 53 and 56 stations. The photographer is looking to starboard from the centreline at the forward end of the compartment showing the starboard stabiliser on the right. On the left is bulkhead 54 which separates the compartment from a 51.63 tons furnace fuel oil tank. An automatic emergency lantern is on this bulkhead in the foreground. A vertical format negative.
