A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. In the primary steering position to starboard of the centreline on 2 deck between 61 and 62½ stations. The photographer is looking to port showing the steering wheel, the telegraph control box and the revolution order transmitter. On the bulkhead in front of the wheel are the rudder indicator and a correction unit with tape repeaters above. A vertical format negative.
