A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the diesel generator compartment on 2 deck between 6 and 11½ stations. The photographer is looking to starboard and forward from abaft the starboard Davey Paxman diesel generator. On top of the generator is the stabilising transformer and by the starboard side deckhead is the diesel engine silencer. On the right is the 15 inch exhaust fan trunking. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
