A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the switchboard room on the port side of 2 deck between 11½ and 14 stations. The photographer is looking to starboard and slightly forward from the port side of the room. A fire extinguisher with an automatic emergency lantern above it are to the right of the door. Beyond the door on the starboard side of the lobby is the C.P.Os and P.Os bathroom. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
