A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the crew's galley on the starboard side of 2 deck between 41 and 44 stations. The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from the arched entrance of the preparing space. On the left are a double steam oven and two boiling coppers. Against the ship's side are a steel shelf rack and a fuse box. The scuttle is clipped shut. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
