A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the crew's galley on the starboard side of 2 deck between 41 and 44 stations. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard from the arched entrance of the preparing space. Against the ship's side are a steel shelf rack, baking trays and a fuse box. On the right is a deep fryer and number one range. On top of the range a large number of pots and pans are stored. On the extreme right are a fire extinguisher and an automatic emergency lantern. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
