A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the crew's preparing space on the starboard side of 2 deck between 41 and 46¼ stations. The photographer is looking forward from the centre of the space showing a worktop with sink on the left and a worktop on the forward bulkhead. Storage shelves and a cupboard are under the worktop and shelves are above it. Also against the forward bulkhead is a large grill with a grease filter above it. On the extreme right are a fire extinguisher, an automatic emergency lantern and the control panel for the galley equipment. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
