A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the crew's preparing space on the starboard side of 2 deck between 41 and 46¼ stations. The photographer is looking to starboard from the centre of the space showing two steel cupboard and drawer units with a large mincing and mixing machine between them and a full height cool cupboard in the corner. An ice cream making machine is on the left with a sink beyond it and a padlocked chest in the corner. The scuttle cover is hinged up. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
