A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the crew's preparing space on the starboard side of 2 deck between 41 and 46¼ stations. The photographer is looking to port into the servery from the starboard side of the preparing space showing two steel cupboard and drawer units with a large mincing and mixing machine between them on the left. An ice cream making machine is on the right. On the bulkhead between the preparing space and the servery are a wash basin, paper towel holder, first aid cabinet and tannoy. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
