A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the main communication office on the starboard side of 2 deck between 32½ and 35 stations. The photographer is looking into the starboard forward corner showing two Power Equipment Company Powquip teleprinter positions and the end one has an Imperial 66 typewriter above it. On the ship's side is a clock reading 2.27, a tool cabinet containing a hammer and pliers, a key cabinet, a hook board and a fire extinguisher. A curtained off electronics unit is on the right. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
