A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the diesel generator compartment on 2 deck between 6 and 11½ stations. The photographer is looking to port into the port aft corner showing two large air receivers. A steel cupboard and four Teddington Autocontrols panels are against the aft bulkhead. The aft end of the port Davey Paxman diesel generator is on the right beyond an acoustic telephone booth. An automatic emergency lantern is on the pillar in the right foreground. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
