A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the watchkeepers' sleeping annexe on the starboard side of 3 deck between 62½ and 68 stations. The photographer is looking forward from the centre of the annexe showing a two tier bunk unit on the left rigged for sleeping. On a locker in the foreground is a Marine Engineering Rrders book and a bookshelf is above. On the right are the backs of lockers and the back of a triple tier bunk unit The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
