A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the watchkeepers' sleeping annexe on the starboard side of 3 deck between 62½ and 68 stations. The photographer is looking forward from the starboard side of the annexe showing a two tier bunk unit in the right foreground rigged for sitting. Beyond it is a triple tier bunk unit rigged for sleeping and another is on the left. Kit lockers are in the left foreground. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
