A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the amplifier compartment on the port side of 2 deck between 34¼ and 35½ stations. The photographer is looking forward and to port from the doorway showing a desk, large control panel and a nest of drawers on the right. A large cardboard box marked 'weapons, radio, navigation' is under the desk and a case marked 'Ready use maintenance box A.P. 12685' is on the deck in front of the control panel. An automatic emergency lantern is on the left above a transformer. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
