A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the officers' galley on the port side of 2 deck between 41 and 42¾ stations. The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from the ship's side showing the worktop with drawers and cupboards under and a shelf over on the left. A food mixer is in the corner and a wash basin with paper towel holder is next to it. To the left of the door is an automatic emergency lantern and a chemical foam fire extinguisher. A refrigerator is on the right. Beyond the open door in the lobby is a cabinet containing an international compressed air breathing apparatus Mk. 2. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
