A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the engineers' workshop on the starboard side of 2 deck between 46 and 49 stations. The photographer is looking to starboard from the aft end of the workshop showing the multi-lathe machine on the left and racks of stowage drawers on the right. A fan ventilation unit is on the ship's side. The deck is cluttered with boxes, 5 gallon drums, cartons and buckets. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
