A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the senior rates dining hall on the starboard side of 2 deck between 49 and 52 stations. The photographer is looking aft and to port at the open servery counter. Stacks of plate and saucers are on the counter. Wire plate racks, some clothing, including a cap, and four loaves of Toaster bread are on the upper shelf. To the left of the door is an automatic emergency lantern and a Nu-swift water fire extinguisher. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
