A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the lobby outside the mortar projectile room on 3 deck between 62½ and 68 stations. The photographer is looking aft along the lobby from the watertight door in bulkhead 62½ showing the stairs up to 2 deck, the watertight hatch down to 4 deck and the open watertight door into the junior rates mess. An automatic emergency lantern is on the bulkhead on the left. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
