A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the wardroom on 2 deck between stations 35 and 41. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard into the lounge corner showing a floral covered settee bench in the corner with a coffee table in front of it easy chairs in front of the electric fire on the right. More easy chairs are in the left foreground. The scuttle is blocked by a copy of the 'Sun' newspaper. A Royal Navy lieutenant and two civilian gentlemen are sitting in the wardroom looking at the photographer. The civilians are wearing identical ties. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
