A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the passageway on 2 deck between stations 24 and 26 looking aft and to starboard. On the left is the watertight door in the gun mounting bulkhead with a Nu-swift water fire extinguisher next to it. Also on the left are the flight of stairs up to 1 deck with an automatic emergency lantern, two more fire extinguishers and a damage control breathing apparatus cabinet. On the right is the door to the P.Os. mess and a deck-mounted diesel generator with a portable water or air pump unit between them. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
