A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the passageway on 2 deck between stations 41 and 49 looking forward. The crews' servery is on the right with a large hot water supply cylinder next to it. A damage control station is on the starboard bulkhead including a fire extinguisher, a smoke mask cabinet with an air hose wrapped round it and a fire hose storage and connection point. In the scullery lobby on the left are drums of chemical foam liquid and a tannoy is near the deckhead by the partly open watertight door at 41 station. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
