A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the passageway on 2 deck between stations 56 and 59 looking forward and to port. On the left is the air lock to the crews bathroom. In the alcove is the main fire fighting position with a fixed and a portable pump, fire extinguishers and a cabinet containg the foam tube to the engine room. A watertight hatch leading down to 3 deck is in the right foreground. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
