Rhyl (1959). The 27 feet motor whaler and the motor skiff on 1 deck.
A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. The photographer is on the starboard side of 1 deck amidships looking forward from outside the ship's rail showing the 27 feet motor whaler in its davits with the motor skiff on the deck beneath it. A seaman is standing on the guardrail tightening the lashings of the whaler's canvas cover. The Ministry of Public Building & Works twin screw hopper barge St Bees (1968), pendant W36, is working alongside a grab dredger just ahead of the Rhyl's bow.
