Hermes (1953). The C.P.Os recreation space on 2 deck during conversion

A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the C.P.Os recreation space on the port side of 2 deck between 50 and 65 stations. He is in the bar area looking forward showing the beer pumps on the right and bottle shelves on the left. Racks for glass storage are at high level. A washing up sink with draining boards and with cupboards under and shelves over is on the forward bulkhead. A telephone is by the side of the bar counter. The photographer has allocated the number 6 to this location. A vertical format negative.
