A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the galley preparing space on the port side of 4 deck between 33 and 39 stations, showing a stainless steel work surface with drawers and shelves under and shelves above. A Salter 10 lb weighing scale is suspended from the deckhead and a meat slicing machine is on the worktop. An Hobart mixing machine is in the right foreground. The photographer has allocated the number 7 to this location.
