A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the wardroom galley and preparation space on 2 deck between 207 and 224 stations. He is looking to port and slightly forward in the forward end of the preparation space showing a stainless steel bench with drawers and shelves under and a shelf over. Pots and pans of various types are stored on these shelves. On top of the bench is a gravity feed slicer. On the right is a wash basin with soap dispenser and paper towel holder above. To the left of the basin are two Prestcold refrigerators. The photographer has allocated the number 11 to this location.
