A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the wardroom galley and preparation space on 2 deck between 207 and 224 stations. He is looking aft from the centre of the aft end of the galley showing a 10 dish roasting oven with a control panel on the side. On the left are four automatic emergency lanterns. Through the archway is the preparation space. The photographer has allocated the number 11 to this location. A vertical format negative.
