Hermes (1953). In the compass platform on 02 deck during conversion.

A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the compass platform on 02 deck looking aft and to port showing the door to the port wing with eight Wynn control boxes on the right. The arched opening leading to the Flyco can be to the left of the door beyond the intercom amplifier and small shelf. On the left is the Laurence-Scott plotting table.
