A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the main communications office (upper) on 02 deck looking to starboard from the port side. In the centre is a leading telegraphist sitting at the central desk. Against the starboard bulkhead is a four drawer filing cabinet on the left and a shredding machine is in thre centre behind the leading telegraphist. On the right is a noticeboard fitted with four bulldog clips and a key cabinet is at high level.
