A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the P.Os. recreation space on 2 deck between stations 12½ and 27. He is in the bar area looking forward showing the counter on the right with the grill shutter closed. On the left are five cupboards and shelves for bottles, cans and glasses. On the forward bulkhead are a stainless steel sink and splashback unit with shelves above and to the left.
